Why Carrots Cost more than Twinkles

Have you ever wondered why simple vegetables, picked straight from the plant or dug from the dirt, are often higher priced than complicated, modified, or otherwise over-processed foods?

One of our Wellness Warrior go-to experts, Michael Pollan, explains this phenomenon, using the common carrot versus the over-tweaked Twinkie as examples:
