This homemade keto BBQ sauce is sweet, smoky, and full of flavor without the sugar. Perfect for low-carb meals like chicken, ribs, and burgers. Easy to make and better than store-bought.
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (check for no sugar)
1.5 tbsp monk fruit or erythritol
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
A few drops liquid smoke (optional but recommended)
Add all ingredients to a small saucepan.
Stir well and bring to a light boil over medium heat.
Lower the heat and let it simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring now and then.
Taste and adjust for sweetness, spice, or tang.
Let cool, then store in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Add a pinch of cayenne for heat.
Use golden monk fruit for a deeper flavor.
For a sweeter taste, add 1 tsp of blackstrap molasses (optional, adds very few carbs).
Sauce thickens more as it cools.
