1 cup fresh blackberries (or thawed frozen blackberries)
½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
4–5 fresh basil leaves
3 cups cold water
½ cup ice (for serving)
¼ cup keto-friendly sweetener (monk fruit, erythritol, or allulose)
Optional: Sparkling water (for a fizzy version)
Instructions
Muddle the blackberries and basil in a bowl until the berries are broken down and juicy.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove seeds (optional).
Squeeze the lemons and add the fresh lemon juice to the blackberry mixture.
Dissolve the sweetener in a little warm water, then stir it into the lemonade.
Add cold water and mix well. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Serve over ice and enjoy! Add sparkling water if you want a fizzy version.
Notes
If you prefer a stronger basil flavor, add more leaves.
Letting the lemonade chill in the fridge for an hour makes the flavors even better.
Turn it into a cocktail by adding vodka or gin for a keto-friendly mixed drink.
