Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 fresh jalapeño peppers (medium-sized, sliced in half, seeds removed)
  • 8 oz goat cheese (soft and spreadable)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (for extra smoothness)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 10 slices of bacon (thin-cut for easier wrapping)
  • Fresh chives or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Jalapeños:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds/membranes.

2. Make the Filling:

  • In a bowl, mix goat cheese, cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

3. Fill the Jalapeños:

  • Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, pressing it in gently.

4. Wrap with Bacon:

  • Cut each bacon slice in half and wrap around each stuffed jalapeño.
  • Secure with a toothpick if needed.

5. Bake Until Crispy:

  • Place on the prepared baking sheet seam-side down.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.
  • For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end.

6. Serve & Enjoy:

  • Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with chopped chives or parsley (optional).

Notes

  • For extra spice, leave some jalapeño seeds in the filling.
  • Use an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes for crispier poppers.
  • Make ahead: Stuff and wrap the jalapeños, store in the fridge, and bake when ready.
  • Try different cheeses like feta or parmesan for extra flavor.
