Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 hibiscus tea bags (or ¼ cup dried hibiscus flowers)
  • ½ cup fresh mint leaves
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Sweetener to taste (erythritol, monk fruit, or stevia)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slices & extra mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Steep the hibiscus: Remove from heat and add the hibiscus tea bags (or dried flowers). Let steep for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Add the mint: Stir in the fresh mint leaves while the tea is still hot to release flavor.
  4. Strain & sweeten: Remove tea bags or strain out hibiscus flowers. Stir in your preferred sweetener.
  5. Add lime juice: Once cooled, add freshly squeezed lime juice and mix well.
  6. Chill & serve: Refrigerate for at least an hour or serve immediately over ice. Garnish with lime slices and mint if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to your liking. Start with a small amount and add more if needed.
  • For a sparkling version, add carbonated water before serving.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4-5 days. Stir before drinking.
  • Try freezing into ice cubes for a quick, flavorful iced drink.
