2 cups frozen edamame (in pods or shelled)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon soy sauce or tamari
Salt to taste
Sesame seeds (optional)

Boil a pot of salted water.
Add frozen edamame and cook for 3–5 minutes until bright green.
Drain and set aside.
In a pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Toss in edamame, stir to coat.
Add soy sauce and cook another 1–2 minutes.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and red pepper flakes if using.
