A cozy, sugar-free mulled wine mocktail made with warm spices, real fruit juice, and zero alcohol. Perfect for keto diet days, holiday nights, or when you just want something comforting without the carbs or booze.
1 bottle (750ml) unsweetened red grape juice
1 cup water
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of ½ orange (optional)
2–3 tbsp erythritol, monk fruit, or allulose (adjust to taste)
3 cinnamon sticks
5–6 whole cloves
2 star anise pods
5–6 black peppercorns
1 thumb-size chunk of fresh ginger, sliced
Orange peel strip
Optional: 1–2 tsp dried hibiscus petals, splash of unsweetened cranberry juice, or 1–2 drops vanilla extract
In a medium pot, combine grape juice, water, lemon juice, and orange juice (if using).
Stir in sweetener and mix until it dissolves.
Add all the spices: cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, peppercorns, ginger, and orange peel.
Heat gently on medium until steaming (don’t boil). Lower the heat and let it simmer for 20–30 minutes.
Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Strain spices and pour into mugs. Serve warm, or let it cool and serve over ice.
Don’t let the mix boil — keep it on a gentle simmer.
Flavor gets stronger the longer it sits.
Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat later.
Use 100% unsweetened juice to keep it keto.
Serve with a cinnamon stick or orange slice for a little flair.
