Crispy, golden halloumi cheese bites coated with zaatar and pan-fried to perfection. A fast and easy keto diet snack or side dish with big flavor and just a few simple ingredients.
250g halloumi cheese (1 block)
2 tbsp zaatar spice blend
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
Optional: Yogurt dip, cucumber, cherry tomatoes
Cut halloumi into bite-sized cubes or thick strips.
Pat cheese dry with paper towel to help it brown better.
Mix zaatar, olive oil, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
Coat each piece of cheese with the zaatar mix. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.
Heat a non-stick or cast iron pan on medium heat.
Cook halloumi on each side for 2–3 minutes until golden and crisp.
Serve hot, with or without dip or veggies.
Don’t overcrowd the pan, cook in batches if needed. Use fresh zaatar for better flavor. Great for snacks, party trays, or low-carb lunches. Pairs well with yogurt dips or lettuce wraps.
