  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, fresh parsley or chives for garnish, dash of cayenne pepper for spice

Instructions

  • Cook the bacon if needed, then let it cool and crumble it into small pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, green onions, and half of the crumbled bacon. Mix until well combined.
  • Use a spoon or small ice cream scoop to portion out the mixture, rolling each portion into a golf ball-sized shape.
  • Roll each cheese ball in the remaining bacon crumbles (or add nuts or parsley if using).
  • Place cheese balls on a plate and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.
