A refreshing low-carb drink perfect for hot days! This keto blueberry basil lemonade blends sweet blueberries, tangy lemon, and fresh basil for a delicious sugar-free summer treat. Great for anyone on the keto diet looking to stay cool without breaking their carb count.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 56 medium lemons)
  • 1/2 cup low-carb sweetener (erythritol, monk fruit, or allulose)
  • 4 cups water (divided)
  • Ice cubes (for serving)
  • Optional: Lemon slices and extra basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the syrup: In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, basil, and 1 cup of water. Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until the blueberries burst and release their color.
  2. Strain: Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing the solids to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.
  3. Dissolve the sweetener: In another saucepan, warm 1 cup of water and stir in the sweetener until fully dissolved. Let it cool.
  4. Mix: In a large pitcher, combine the blueberry basil syrup, sweetened water, lemon juice, and the remaining 2 cups of water. Stir well.
  5. Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over it. Garnish with lemon slices and basil if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less sweetener.
  • You can replace basil with mint for a different flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Stir before serving.
