Ingredients

Scale

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
✅ 2 tbsp cream cheese (softened)
✅ ¾ cup almond flour
✅ 1 large egg
✅ 1 tsp baking powder
✅ ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
✅ ½ tsp salt

Optional for Extra Flavor
✅ ½ tsp dried oregano
✅ 1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
✅ ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

Melt the Cheese:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the mozzarella and cream cheese in 20-second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth (about 1 minute).

Mix the Dough:

  • Add the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt to the melted cheese.
  • Crack in the egg and mix well. Dough will be sticky.

Knead the Dough:

  • Grease your hands with butter or oil and knead until the dough comes together. If it’s too sticky, chill it for 5-10 minutes.

Shape the Bread:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Shape the dough into a heart for Valentine’s Day or form rolls/buns.

Bake:

  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush with melted butter and sprinkle parmesan cheese while warm.

Notes

  • Sticky Dough? Chill for 5-10 minutes to make it easier to handle.
  • Want a crispier crust? Bake for an extra 3-5 minutes.
  • Freezer Friendly! Store in an airtight container and reheat at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
