Workout Principles of Megan Fox

Megan works out three days a week; two of which are really hard days. Her personal trainer says that the principles of Megan are to follow a five-factor workout.

That’s five phases:

  • A minimum 5-minute cardio warm-up
  • A lower-body sculpting exercise
  • An upper body toning exercise
  • An abdominal sculpting exercise
  • A 5-minute cooldown

Harley Pasternak is Megan’s personal trainer.

The workouts for Megan are 5 easy circuits each day, and each one will last around 5 minutes.

Harley says, “We do 20 repetitions on each upper body, lower body, and abs and cycle through those three exercises nonstop, repeating the circuit four times.”

Other principles she abides by are spinning classes and Pilates.

Megan Fox Training Methods

Megan Fox training methods include plenty of –

  • HIIT circuits on a stationary bike, etc.
  • Dancing
  • Running
  • Long cardio sessions to burn fat
  • Spinning
  • She does core circuits to target the upper body, abs, and lower body to get them all ripped at the front, back – she also does obliques.
  • Pilates
  • Yoga
  • Lifting heavy weights
  • Resistance training

She likes to incorporate a wide variety of workouts into her role so she doesn’t get bored.

Every day she works different muscle groups and body parts.

She works extra hard to make her muscles strong.

A sample workout for Megan might include around 10 minutes of running on the treadmills, push-ups, four rounds of 20 squats, and crunches.

A 5-minute cooldown on her bike would follow.

Megan Fox’s Workout Routine

Megan is committed to working out at least 3 days a week under her trainer, Harley Pasternak.

Her workout routine focuses on a lot on cardio work.

Even though she lifts weights, she does a run-through of the weight circuits. She keeps her heart rate up by getting in cardio workouts.

She jogs on the treadmill or will get a full workout on the elliptical.

If she isn’t in the gym, she will make time to go for walks with her children or go for a run on her own.

She also does a whole lot of strength training exercises.

She’s a great fan of bodyweight training and resistance training. These help her stay toned and to build strength.

She doesn’t take rest periods between exercises. This is what her typical workout looks like:

  • Cardio warm-up on the treadmill – 5 minutes
  • Alternating knee crunches – Do 20 reps
  • Knee push-ups – 20 reps
  • Squats – 20 reps
  • Burpees – 20 reps
  • Alternating leg lunges – 20 reps
  • Box jumps – 20 reps
  • Repeat the circuit 4 times
  • Do a Tabata workout for 8 minutes. What is Tabata? It’s a HIIT workout that yields the most benefits in the shortest amount of time.
  • 5-minute cooldown

This workout helps Megan to get about an hour of solid resistance training during each session with added cardio movements.

Megan Fox’s Diet Plan

Megan has quite a complicated way of eating because she likes eating from the Keto Diet, Paleo Diet, and the Five-Factor diet.

She avoids grains, processed foods, and legumes that take her body out of ketosis.

It’s actually quite hard to plan to eat like Megan does and figure it all out.

But Megan does it, and she ensures that she eats 5 meals during the day.

Did you know that she was once a strict vegan?

But she had to stop this way of eating after she lost too much weight.

This type of eating isn’t for everyone. So she eats a bit of everything now and that works better for her health and body.

Breakfast

To Megan, breakfast is her favorite meal of the day. She gets her energy from her breakfast meals as well as the nutrients.

These help her to work out and to keep up with the activities of her kids. She always starts breakfast off with a cup of coffee.

After that, she moves to a very high-protein meal.

She will have an omelet made from only the whites of eggs.

This is accompanied by fresh vegetables or low-fat Icelandic yogurt with fruit and some almonds.

She gets in an excellent mix of healthy carbs, protein, and fat.

Lunch

Megan enjoys salad with grilled salmon and tries to eat salmon once a day.

If she’s not in the mood for fish, she will go for grilled turkey or chicken.

Because she follows the Keto/Paleo diet principles, she will add extra virgin olive oil and some apple cider vinegar to drizzle over her green salad.

Apple cider vinegar is known to play a role in fat burning, appetite regulation, and fat storage. It’s also good for gut health which is so important for overall health.

Dinner

Megan’s dinner time is similar to her lunchtime.

Dinner will be packed with minerals, vitamins, and nutrients to help her body stay lean.

If she skips salmon for lunch, for instance, she will have it at dinner time, grilled, with a lot of seasonal veggies.

She loves her salmon to be made into salmon sashimi served with steamed, lightly salted edamame, a cup of miso soup, and a fresh cucumber salad.

Snacks

Of the five smaller meals Megan eats in a day, two of them are snacks. In this time she will drink a smoothie.

It keeps her energy up until she has her next meal.

Remember, her smoothies aren’t packed with sugar and carbs though, because they can be if you allow them to be!

Megan’s are made up of fresh fruit, almond milk, and the current protein powder she likes to use at a particular time.

She really enjoys snacking on almonds – rightly so, because they do a great job at lowering LDL cholesterol levels.

Foods Megan avoids

She stays away from foods like gluten and traditional junk foods and processed foods. She wants to feel good all the time and she says carbs don’t make her feel good.

That’s why her main source of carbs comes from fruits and veggies. It is wise to cut out any foods that make you feel bad.

Megan tries all the time to stick to her Keto/Paleo diet routine every day. She works so hard to keep her body toned and lean but does indulge just now and then.

For instance, if she wants some comfort food now and again, she will whip up oatmeal pancakes made from blueberries or drink a homemade hot chocolate drink with fat-free milk.

Healthy Celeb Mag says of her diet; that even though she does follow a five-factor diet, one day of the week is reserved for eating whatever she wants.

And what does she eat?

She follows the Keto-, Paleo-, and Five-Factor diets. She eats Japanese food, almonds, egg whites, salmon, and smoothies.

She eats so healthily that she told E! News, “The worst thing I put in my body is coffee, once a day.”

Of course, this diet won’t work for everyone, but it does an excellent job for Megan, with her workout routine.

If she needs to lose weight, she doesn’t give herself much leeway when it comes to what she eats.

She is very strict with herself, but then it’s paid off for her.

She told E!-News that when she is trying to lose weight, she is very strict with herself.

She won’t allow for any indulgences.

She even says, “I don’t have splurge foods. I either do something or I don’t do it at all, and I’m doing this right now, so I have no cheat days. But if I was going to cheat, I would probably go with pizza or cake.”

Megan Fox’s Supplements

Let’s see what supplements Megan adds to her diet:

  • Protein supplement – to add to her smoothies
  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Fish oil in the form of omega-3 fatty acids
  • Silica supplements

Megan’s supplement collection has been specially chosen to support and improve brain function, to support the strength of her bones, muscles, and connective tissue.

She wants to keep depression and inflammation at bay and to ensure that her hair, skin, and nails look and are at the peak in health and beauty.

When she was preparing to star in Jennifer’s Body, the horror-comedy movie, Megan lost 30 pounds.

She felt that she had a nervous breakdown from this movie, and ended up getting sick with her hair falling out.

But still, she says it was her most “Favorite project that I’ve ever done,” in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Megan Fox’s noteworthy recommendations

She recommends if you want to be slim, healthy, and fit, she has these recommendations about her own ways to go about it – which obviously work:

She doesn’t eat white foods

She sees to it that she steers well away from any food that is white and processed.

She says “I cut out all sort of bread and those sorts of carbohydrates. No crackers, no pretzels, no chips, anything unhealthy.”

She says she doesn’t do cheat days

Maybe she doesn’t do cheat days even more so when she is trying to shed a few pounds.

She told E!-News that when she is trying to lose a bit of weight, she won’t allow herself any indulgences.

She says, “I don’t have splurge foods. I either do something or I don’t do it at all, and I’m doing this right now, so I have no cheat days. But if I was going to cheat, I would probably go with pizza or cake.”

She fills up with smoothies

Megan keeps white carbs non-existent in her diet, well, very low anyway. She eats mainly fruit and veggies in her smoothies.

Her favorite smoothie is the red smoothie.

These are all the red berries in season.

Into this she will throw some chai tea, protein powder, and some almond milk – that’s according to her personal trainer, Harley Pasternak.

She does circuit training

She tries to be very consistent with her workouts for years. For two days of the week, she works extremely hard, doing bursts of cardio with really heavy weights.

“I don’t need someone else’s power. I’m obtaining my own” – Megan Fox
