 Cam Newton is an American football quarterback.

He plays for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL).

But that was until 11 November 2021 when he signed up with the Panthers.

He signed up for a one-year deal worth, worth $10 million.

This includes $4.5 million guaranteed as well as a $1.5 million roster bonus – plus there’s the Panther’s No. 1 jersey for him as well!

His father also used to play professional football in the NFL, so you can imagine how Cam was almost born with football boots on.

Cam attended Seaborn Lee Elementary School and then went on to attend Camp Creek Middle School.

For high school, He attended Westlake High School in Georgia where he got to play plenty of basketball and football.

He attended the University of Florida in 2007 where he continued with his football playing, earning a spot as the backup for the star quarterback.

In 2009, he moved to Blinn College, playing quarterback for his team. They won the 2009 NJCAA National Football Championship.

He moved again to Auburn University where he played again for a quarterback.

He joined up with the NFL in 2011, signing a four-year contract with the Carolina Panthers.

He had his debut match against the Arizona Cardinals, but only tasted victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Playing for the Panthers he rose to become one of their best players.

In 2016, he was ranked as their top player in the NFL. He was on the ‘NFL Top Players of 2016 list’.

He has four kids with his ex.

Workout Principles of Cam Newton

As one of the best American footballers around, fans are eager to know what Cam Newton does to achieve his muscle strength, fitness, and well-defined body.

His workout principles include different exercise types that he incorporates into his weight, cardio, core circuit, strength, and agility training, etc.

It is all tailored so he can gain more functional strength, better muscle fitness, explosive power, mobility, and his other goals.

During his off-season, Cam continues with his training, where he will typically do five workouts per week.

He has a home gym for this and this will include 1 to 2-hour sessions.

He will use the treadmill for cardio training or he will use free weight for his strength training. He aims all the time for explosive power, better mobility, and greater functional strength.

1) Cardio Routine

His cardio routine improves his stamina. For cardio, he will run on the treadmill or use the air bike. Each day for an hour he does cardio work.

2) Agility training

For agility training, Cam uses resistance band training. He will include exercises such as agility step, agility ladder, and more in his workout routine.

3) Strength Training

Cam likes different exercises to hit each muscle group every week he does workouts. That means his targeted muscles get trained sufficiently to promote growth.

Cam Newton’s Diet Plan

Cam Newton had an injury to his shoulder in 2018.

This put him out of action for the final two games of the year.

After the injury, Cam stopped eating red meat.

He did continue, though, with eating some animal products like seafood and fish. But then in 2019, he decided to become fully vegan.

There were many who believed that he wouldn’t be able to perform as he used to on the football field on a vegan diet. 

They were convinced that he needed dairy and meat.

But Cam has told everyone that he has never felt so healthy before – that the vegan diet has had no impact on his sporting achievements.

He is not the only sports player to go vegan. There are heaps of other top sports stars that have gone vegan.

But Cam does love Chinese food.

Other food he consumes is:

He stays away from junk foods and processed foods, as well as meat, dairy, and eggs.

Cam admits that he used to “splurge big”

“When you’re so busy, junk food is too easy to find, especially at night. And cereal. I demolish cereal.”

Cam has had help from the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI).

They helped him change his eating around to fuel his body with what it needed.

When he was having a testing session recently, the GSSI scientists looked at his body composition and saw how effectively he processed fat and carbohydrates.

I’ve seen such a remarkable change in the way my body responds to the food that I eat,” he said in an interview with animal rights organization, PETA.”

Cam said he often gets asked how he manages to get in enough protein and nutrients on a plant-based diet.

But he says he hasn’t found it difficult at all to find healthy sources of protein and nutrients without animal products.

“Some of the strongest species on this earth are vegetarian,” he said.

“When you look at gorillas, when you look at elephants, they find their source of protein in plants and I do the same thing. I’m loving how I’m feeling.”
